This started off as a reaction to the news that Cambridge's best small venue, The Portland Arms (also a much beloved pub), was under threat of demolition by the Everything-Must-Be-Replaced-By-Unaffordable-Flats brigade. However, tears turned to joy when brewing giant Greene King announced in January 2010 that the pub would not be closed - at least, not for the time being. Therefore this will now be an event in celebration of the Portland, featuring some of our favourite local bands and some very special guests from further afield.

Proceeds from the event will be split between two fine charities:
