Sunday September 19th 2010 @ The Haymakers
Sunday Gril was signed to a new look Geffen Records managed by Colin Barlow, responsible for Take That’s 2006 comeback ‘Beautiful World’ which has become the 35th best selling album in British music history. And despite only being signed before Easter, Sunday Girl’s sounds are spreading by word-of-mouth fast, with the Observer and Popjustice already firm fans. And the dizzy heights achieved by Sunday Girl’s Jade Williams show no signs of slowing down any time soon, recently being announced as main tour support for Ellie Goulding’s 2010 Autumn UK tour.
Sunday Girl had already been impressing tastemakers prior to her first official single Stop, Hey - released in June, with Four Floors and its remixes by Diplo, Russ Chimes, Sketch Iz Dead and Fenech Soler - the latter earning a top 10 position for the most popular songs on The Hype Machine at the end of June.
Beautiful, thoughtful, intelligent and credible, Sunday Girl is offering a whole new creative sensibility to the world of music with a self confessed “wall of beautiful noise,” this Sunday clearly has no plans to rest just yet…
