Pontefract's punk rock stars Above Them return to Cambridge as part of a UK tour to promote their much anticipated second album. They have been faves here in Cambridge for a few years and I have had the privilege of putting them on a couple of times. Always brilliant live and with songs that even a first time listener will be struggling to get out of their heads post gig.

Support comes in the form of one of the finest new bands I saw last year. Very complex yet rockin' work outs with male/female vocals and some guitar and bass gymnastics that will leave your jaw on the floor. Their demo from last year is a MUST get. I will link their band camp page... Drummer is incredible too I must add!

Openers are up and coming Cambridge trio Outbound who have astounded me with their choice of cover songs at a couple of gigs last year and their original compositions are totally 80s style melodic hardcore to me... think Moving Targets, Husker Du, Naked Raygun... I have seen them cover "Celebrated Summer", "Vanilla Blue" and "The Envelope" with some gutso. Bob Mould would appreciate their guitar tone for sure.
