Adam Norsworthy

Saturday March 11th 2017 @ Six Bells - free 20.30

FEW PERFORMERS IN THE UK HAVE THE LIVE PEDIGREE OF ADAM NORSWORTHY. HAVING STARTED PLAYING PROFSSIONALLY AT 15, HE HAS NOW PLAYED OVER 1500 GIGS ACROSS THE UK, EUROPE AND THE USA.

THE SINGER, GUITARIST AND MULTI–INTRUMENTALIST IS THE SON OF A FOLK SINGER AND AN AMERICAN JOURNALIST, AND HIS FIRST LOVE WAS THE BLUES AND ROCK’N’ROLL HE HEARD ON THE RADIO GROWING UP IN AMERICA.

CUTTING HIS TEETH PLAYING IN VARIOUS BANDS IN HIS YOUTH , HE EVENTUALLY FORMED THE RENOWNED UK BLUES BAND THE MUSTANGS IN 2000. NOMINATED FOR FOUR BRITISH BLUES AWARDS, THE MUSTANGS REPUTATION FOR BLISTERING LIVE SHOWS AND ADAM’S ORIGINAL SONGS SAW THEM FAST BECOME A STAPLE ON THE UK BLUES CIRCUIT.

ADAM’S DEPTH OF SONGWRITING WAS NEVER LIMITED TO THE BLUES HOWEVER, AND HIS SOLO WORK DRAWS UPON A HUGE RANGE OF INLUENCES FROM THE BLUES TO BOWIE TO LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM TO JOHN BARRY.

HIS EXPRESSIVE VOICE PERFECTLY COMPLIMENTS HIS STARTLINGLY PERSONAL SONGWRITING; OPEN, HONEST AND RAW, BUT ALWAYS FLOATING ON AN UNFORGETTABLE MELODY AND PEERLESS MUSICIANSHIP.

IN AN AGE OF REALITY ‘STARS’ AND EVER-MORE MANUFACTURED SINGERS, ADAM IS THE REAL DEAL. THE LONGEST ‘OVERNIGHT’ SUCCESS STORY IN MUSIC.

AT LAST HIS SHIP HAS COME IN. GET ON BOARD.
