Smyley jay makes and breaks beats, fusing electro, grunge and punk rock with concious lyrics. Jay cut his onions with his guitar forming punk rock and grunge bands in his late teens, to become a break beat Dj / producer whilst studying music technology in his hometown of Cambridge in the mid 90's. Jay has been on many missions, such as running the dance area of Cambridges Infamous Strawberry Fair Festival, Free Party Activist, Large scale Artist, painting backdrops art for trance parties, Busking across the Basque provences of spain at all the wild fiesta's.
Joining Smyley J on Drums is Chris D together the pair produce a sound and style that is beyond convention, grungecore with soul. Look out for the Rebel Icons around Cambridge and Uk from Now. The pair record their First EP this Month look out for that too.

Message From the Organizers of the Cambourne New Music Festival Need bands for tomorrow night from 7 -10 I’ve had a run of bad luck with a gig that I am promoting in Cambourne tomorrow as part of the first Cambourne Music Festival, including illness, accidents and surprise holidays (which took out two bands as they shared two brothers!).
